Waterloo Grove Phases 1 & 2 of sheltered housing. Rapid ground level changes over a narrow site introduced some interesting design challenges!

The key issue to the Waterloo Grove developments was the rapid change in ground level. Spilt level residential units made best of use of the change in ground level whilst meeting Lifetime Homes standards but this also introduced many retaining wall units. We worked with the Contractor to develop efficient retaining elements that could be repeated across the whole development.

A sustainable approach to drainage was achieved by returning surface water back to ground through soakaways.
