Dudleys provided civil and structural engineering services to this bespoke residential development of 8 dwellings, set within the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park.
The drainage strategy was required to consider typical planning requirements associated with SuDS features, whilst also providing a sympathetic finish for a site within the Yorkshire Dales National Park and on the boundary of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The design of the hardstanding areas includes a porous gravel retention system in order to utilise the sub-base layer as surface water attenuation. Overall discharge rate from the site is restricted to the minimum practicable discharge rate and includes appropriate allowances for climate change.
