Dudleys provided Structural Engineering design checking services to HZI for their Energy from Waste developments.
The £250M energy from waste plants will annually process 410,000 tonnes of municipal waste to generate 49MW of electricity.
The EfW plants are built on brown field sites and comprise a building “shell” surrounding a significant incineration process which requires waste bunkers, turbine halls, plant frames and supports, and conveyor systems all supported by substantial reinforced concrete foundations. Dudley’s role to these projects is to act as Checking Engineer reviewing and ensuring compliance of the European design with UK design standards.
