Peter Dixon

My experience in the field of structural engineering has developed from a diverse mix of project types and scales, including high-rise concrete residential, complex high and low-rise refurbishment projects, variety of steel framed structures. I have developed a much greater understanding of the financial constraints on projects, through working with a structural steelwork fabricator.

I work well as part of a team, performing well under pressure and able to build strong working relationships with both clients and colleagues. This has been further enhanced through working with a specialist fabricator and collaborating with numerous engineers, architects and fabricators, in order to provide the optimum structural solution. Similarly, I also perform well when working individually and my presentation skills have developed through undertaking a variety of professional presentations whilst with ASD Westok and at The University of Bradford over a two-year period assisting all student year groups in a variety of formats.

I was responsible for maintaining and undertaking internal audits as part of ASD Westok’s BS ISO9001 continued accreditation. As well as being a chartered structural engineer with the Institution of Structural Engineers, I am also a marking examiner for the chartered member examination.
